Why I like Facebook

My mom asked me the other day why I was on Facebook. I admit that I resisted the FB movement at first, but after awhile I caved in to all my friends' persistence (and then Mike caved in shortly thereafter). I'm not an avid user; I'm only really ever on it via my iPhone when I'm nursing or waiting for someone. But I have been pleasantly surprised by its usefulness. I think I mentioned in a previous blog about how it has allowed me to reconnect with people in my (sometimes distant) past. How else would my BFF from 3rd grade or my high school prom date have found me? But the best part of Facebook for me, is the convenience at keeping track of what everyone, whom I don't see on a regular basis, is up to. I have so many close friends who are so geographically far away, and I'm terrible at emailing and phone calls. Facebook makes it easy and a tad more centralized... And that concludes my plug for the web application du jour...
