Multitasking

People have their opinions on daily commutes. Most people in this country drive to work, and most people I know talk about pros and cons of taking public transportation versus driving. One of the benefits of mass transportation is that it allows you to actively engage in something other than driving. Sleeping and reading a book/magazine/newspaper are usually the two more popular choices. Today, during the usual slowdown on the Sunset Hwy, I saw a guy who decided to apply the best of both worlds - he was actually reading a book, folded open on his steering wheel, while driving! I didn't see any major dents in his car, so either he's very good at multitasking in this form or this is the first time he's attempted this...
Needless to say, I kept my distance, when I could, from him...

Random musings

My husband recently "reminded" me that I've been neglecting my blog (if you can even call this a blog, considering how infrequently I post). My excuse is two-fold: 1) I've been really busy at work trying to meet a deadline before my trip and 2) I haven't really thought of anything to "contribute."

Sure, there have been things like one of my best friends having recently given birth to her first baby (Welcome to the world, Owen!) , biking to work twice this past week (which is no small feat for me, considering it's 10+ miles one way), and my prediction that gas will reach $4/gallon sometime this summer (it's already $3.40, so we're not that far off). But these are musings where I might share two or three sentences...not an entire post.

I think I'm too private of a person to really have something to write about on a more frequent basis. Or I'm just too boring of a person and not at all insightful. I'd like to think it's the former.
